However, Adobe is a major player in the photo editing software industry and has a whole suite of products that complement each other. Its two most significant advantages over Lightroom are the quality of its denoising and the ability to customise your workspace so you can organise your tools to best suit your workflow. If you've got a module, then maybe it is because it is Essentials Edition. In many respects, PhotoLab is better than Adobe Lightroom. Vintage 1953 & wackymoomin edited this topic 68 months ago. In version 11 "essentials" I only have "Generic" (my cameras colours) or "Color Positive Films". When I open in version 9 elite edition I get a drop down in Color>Color Rendering of "Camera Body" and I can choose another cameras colours. Update: a TIF exported by LR6 (16-bit, AdobeRGB) behaves the same in OP as the JPEG with regard to Color Rendering options. I can confirm that with a JPG (exported by Lightroom) the behavior you see is also present in Elite Edition. I don't think I was able to open DNG files in OP either, but someone else can correct me if that is wrong. While DxO supports a certain set of cameras, when you encounter one that they do not (usually much older cameras), you cannot open its RAW file, and w/ an exported TIF or JPG (from the camera's software or from another tool such as Lightroom), the power of the tool is more limited. I'm guessing that you might have a camera for which they do not provide a module. (Note: keep in mind that my answer is based on my experience with DxO OP 11 Elite Ed.) Is that normal for an "Essential" edition, or do I have to do something? There seems to be no "other camera body" options in Color Rendering.
